Restoring Individual Liberty
Limited Government
I believe that the Constitution is fundamentally a document of liberty, and that it was written by our Founding Fathers in order to protect the people's natural freedoms. The people of this country are diverse in their ancestry, ideology, and culture, but we share as Americans a common heritage of liberty: limited government, entrepreneurship, justice, and free expression.
Freedom of Religion
I favor the freedom to engage in or abstain from any religious activities that do not violate the rights of others. I strongly oppose government actions which either aid or attack any religion. When the state becomes entangled with religion, it often perverts the faith and violates the rights of others.
Securing the Boarder
This country's border and the citizens within must be protected from enemies abroad, and it is the responsibility of government to secure the border against invasion. War-mongers in Congress and elsewhere who insist that national defense includes needless foreign wars have no business allocating this country's defense budget, and as a Congressman I would fight to protect our border from our enemies and our politicians.
